Grants offered for science, engineering students entering research competitions
New South Wales university students attending science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) competitions can now apply for grants under a new State Government program.
The NSW Office of Science and Research has launched the Science and Engineering Student Competition Sponsorship Program to provide support to teams of university students attending STEM competitions both within Australia and overseas.
$100,000 is available in this inaugural round of the Program, which is open to students competing at events between June 2015 and June 2016.
Grants will be awarded on a competitive basis and the amount of funding teams receive will be determined by the overall quantity and quality of grant applications.
Applications close on Friday 10 April 2015.
The Program is funded from the Research Attraction and Acceleration Program.
