National Youth Science Forum
The National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) is a not-for-profit organisation running residential programs for young people with a passion for STEM. NYSF is one of Australia's longest-running and respected science outreach programs.
The NYSF's flagship Year 12 program has been running since 1984, engaging more than 12,000 young Australians. The Year 12 program is an immersive and transformative experience, showcasing the exciting possibilities in a STEM education and careers and giving students the chance to explore leading STEM institutions and industries.
NSW is very active in the NYSF program, sending one of the largest cohorts. The Office of the Chief Scientist & Engineer (OCSE) has supported NYSF for over a decade, with funding helping to run NYSF programs, as well as providing financial support for disadvantaged NSW students from regional or underprivileged backgrounds to attend programs.
